I can build a high performing team in less than 6 months *and* increase your turnover. But mention that I haven't wireframed recently and suddenly I am getting looks of actual pity.
Does that make the CDO less of a designer?
At what point in one's career is it considered reasonable that you might *just* do (lol, just) management and strategy?
Is it healthy for a "Head of" or "Director" level designer to be dictating decisions of that level?
When does that become micromanagement?
Why aren't we saving our pitying looks for those senior designers who don't know how to coach?
Does that not imply they haven't coached and developed their team well enough to be capable of delivering on their own?
*Things I will regret later.
