That distinction will probably quiet Democrats worried that she'll unilaterally disarm in the general against the Trump-RNC machine.

Grassroots fundraising can make up eschewing those $2,800-per-person chicken-dinner fundraisers.

Less so, though, with the $100K checks to party
But it does open her up to charges of hypocrisy.

Why refuse to attend high-dollar fundraisers for your campaign, but gladly attend them for the party?

The headlines from the new national NBC/WSJ poll:

— 43% of Americans approve of Trump’s overall job — down 2pts from July
— 49% approve of his handling of economy
— 36% approve of his handling of El Paso/Dayton aftermath

Aug 10-14, MOE +/-3.1%
Also in the NBC/WSJ: A combined 40% of reg voters say they will definitely or probably vote for Trump in 2020, versus 52% who say they will definitely/probably vote for the Democratic nominee — essentially unchanged from when this question was last asked in Dec 2018
And this might be the most interesting result of all: 64% of all Americans say they support free trade — an all-time high in the history of our poll.

That includes a majority of GOPers and supermajorities of Dems and independents

Fact-checking Trump's Rose Garden comments from today.

CLAIM: “I think most of you would agree, I'm the most transparent president probably in the history of this country.”

FACTS: No tax returns, no Mueller sit-down, objecting to McGahn's House testimony
CLAIM: “The whole thing with Russia was a hoax as it relates to the Trump administration and myself.”

FACTS: Mueller's probe didn't establish conspiracy/coordination, but it *did* establish Russia interfered to help Trump -- and Trump camp welcomed the help
CLAIM: “This is what happened: No collusion, no obstruction, no nothing.”

FACTS: Mueller's report never exonerated Trump on obstruction of justice. “Accordingly, while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.”

As they see it, having a staffer call, request, & provide assurances on behalf of Warren to secure a $100K contribution from a wealthy Silicon Valley donor was perfectly fine.
@cenkuygur @ewarren @WolfPAChq Elizabeth Warren has proven herself to be a "slithery politician."

It's just one of many deceptive acts that really show the character of the politician, and with Warren, there are too many of them to dismiss as anything but "intentional effort to deceive supporters."

1. In June of 2016, Crowdstrike announced that the DNC servers had been hacked by the Russians, and submits a malware report “proving” this is the case: washingtonpost.com/world/national…
