I hate to give this person a platform, but I want to clarify something that folks are (likely willfully) misunderstanding.

Using "triggered" or "snowflake" doesn't make a person a white supremacist, and the language isn't exclusive to white supremacists or even ... (continued)
What I say in the article, and I stand by, is that if you hear your kids using these terms, it's likely a sign that they're consuming media that tends toward the alt-right.

They didn't hear it from teachers, the mainstream media, or from you. It comes from online media...
... most likely media content that leans heavily alt-right or is an intro to the alt-right.

The words are not (necessarily) the problem. They are a first warning for parents that it's time to talk to your kids, often & consistently, about politics, race, and propaganda.
Analogy: A googling "boobies" is a sign it's time to talk abt what to do if they encounter sexual content online & make sure they have a healthy basic education about sex/consent.

Googling "boobies" doesn't mean they're a sex addict. Saying "snowflake" doesn't make a kid a Nazi
And I never said it did!

These are early signs that it's time to talk about these important topics. Signs your child is maturing and exploring subjects that they need support from YOU, as parents, so that the Internet doesn't become their teacher.
