I thought it might be valuable to upload my slides from #PTG2019 on the Caster Semenya case…the slides will follow in the thread below.
1. Caster Semenya was born and raised as a woman, but was outed as a "Woman, but maybe not 100%" by the IAAF's Pierre Weiss in 2009 when she was 19: reuters.com/article/us-ath… #PTG2019
2. The IAAF plays its trump card. Changes #DSDRegulations - only apply to the 46 XY karyotype, allowing it to argue that they apply to 'biological males', who have an advantage due to the action of elevated T on the development of their physiology from puberty onwards… #PTG2019
3. …And we cannot have athletes competing in the wrong gender, can we… especially if they have an advantage… #PTG2019
4. Doriane Coleman & Jonathan Taylor call the evidence from the field "devastating" & "incredible". But evidence is redacted from the judgment for privacy reasons, stopping independent review… #PTG2019
5. Study shows that surgery was performed on four young athletes ahead of the London 2012 Olympics. A study at the time warned the IAAF that such practices are unethical… #PTG2019
6. Documentary (excellent, BTW) shows that two of the four athletes were medically harmed by such procedures, which were carried out under the IAAF's Regulations. One athlete says the IAAF wanted her to pay for the cost of the surgery… #PTG2019
7. The performance times of three of the four athletes was used by the IAAF as evidence that lowering testosterone in DSD athletes slows them down, in support of the #DSDRegulations that Semenya challenged. One wasn't used because she got faster, it is understood… #PTG2019
8. That the CAS didn't spot this, and allowed the IAAF to amend the Regulations that were being appealed, as well as its rationale for them, both pre and post hearing, shows why athletes need to take human rights disputes outside of CAS… #PTG2019

This surveillance tech is deployed at Sabarimala currently with Artificial Intelligence based high-res cameras fitted onto drones synced with various databses and biometric profiles under what they call "Predictive Policing" - stopping crime before it starts or future crimes.
Under Predictive Policing Hot Spot analysis police personnel will analyze & predict geographical areas of increased crime on basis of crime data. It will process all patterns relating to time of occurrence, exact locations, even shops, hotels, bars or other establishments.
Detectives will study social & infrastructural environment of a location & its local demography. Analysis will also be made of such things as local weather conditions, days on which offences are committed, whether it was around pay-day etc. But how they know its your pay-day? :)
