So there are definitely multiple revisions of JAKKS Pacific Bob the Builder too. The video at (which is from an NTSC unit although typically the ROMs are the same) shows a date of Feb 28 2006. I picked one up myself (PAL) and it has a date of Jun 2 2006.

Further investigation indicates that in this case the PAL version I have uses entirely different voices (from the UK version of the show, with a British accent) while the US one seems to be the American voices, so very likely the PAL/NTSC ROM is different.
also I think this one is the same SunPlus type as Classic Arcade Pinball and the original Spiderman release, as the RAM test shows only 0x1000 bytes of regular RAM, and the colour test here isn't RGB.
this is what it looks like, no easy 'TSOP pads' for dumping, but some possible connection points I think. Also note, this unit is yellow, most of them are grey, that might be significant.
fwiw, Team Europe have a regular Grey unit with this UK revision too, so who knows why this one is yellow.
