I’m about to block this idiot, the only constant that they bring up is that people always seem to move away from the Dems. They moved away from blue states to the coastal cities when the GOP held them, and after a few decades of Dem control they’re moving away from the Dems

So, I'm going to come out and say something that's going to sound odd as fuck and will catch me some heat even though it really shouldn't once I explain it. Not that the people who are going to throw heat my way ever bother to fully hear me out, so hey, go fuck yourselves.
I don't give a fuck that Lindsey Graham isn't doing hearings on spygate. Really, I don't. I don't care that the Senate isn't looking at spygate at all. Hell, I don't really WANT any of the GOP in the Senate looking into spygate.
The reason is very, extremely simple:

It would do absolutely, positively, no good whatsoever.

The important thing to note about Syria and the process it took to reach this point is that EVERYTHING was necessary.

Yes, even the missile strikes that doom criers shrieked about endlessly.
The difference between Obama and Trump in terms of military action was that Obama muzzled the military, and every decision was framed through public perception and approval. Success was less important than keeping Obama’s job approval up.
For Trump, job approval is pointless. It cratered at first, but every point gained since then is hardened unshakable support. There are no true long term dips in his approval ratings anymore.

This means that there was no risk for him unleashing the US military.

1) The Rise, Fall, and (Rise Again) of the Rust Belt City. How did it happen? There is a lot of conventional/popular/apocryphal wisdom on the subject. But how much of it is actually true?
2) The pop-narrative/conventional wisdom is that the deindustrialization of these cities happened, and that they fell into widespread decline as a result. This is true, as far as it goes, but it glosses over a lot of details and complex economic/geographic relationships.
3) First, let's get the timing issue straight. By and large, the decline of heavy smokestack industry in the urban core happened a long time ago. In my city of Akron, for example, the last passenger tire was built in 1982. I was 10. The median Akronite wasn't even born yet.

People always seem surprised to hear Parliament really is close to falling down. Rain used to pour in through the windows in the Telegraph’s lobby office because they don’t close.
The basement floods on a regular basis (it’s also where all the wiring runs). There aren’t enough fire doors so firemen have to patrol the whole building turning off computers at night to reduce the risks.
A number of colleagues have got stuck in lifts, which despite the best efforts of staff regularly break down. The loos block on a daily basis and the water pressure often drops meaning they can’t be used for hours at a time.
