“I told Ambassador Sondland that President Trump should have more respect for another head of state...I asked Sondland to pushback on President Trump’s demand.”
A critical issue for the administration. A career diplomat ( and now we know others) raised concerns that what Giuliani was up to was undercutting official policy. Some of this activity now part of the SDNY investigation.

In testimony scheduled for Thursday, Mr. Sondland was expected to say that during a meeting in May, Mr. Trump gave him and two other officials the impression that they should coordinate on Ukraine issues with his personal lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani. nytimes.com/2019/10/16/us/…
By mid-July, Mr. Sondland was expected to testify, he had realized that Mr. Zelensky would be granted an Oval Office audience only if Ukraine publicly announced it would investigate Burisma...
And then this from The NY Times:

One person close to Mr. Sondland said he now feared that he would be blamed for the scandal, while more powerful players would be protected. He has expressed concern that he could end up, the person said, as “collateral damage.”

In Manhattan federal court where the judge is set to hear from victims of Jeffrey Epstein. There are three and a half rows of women with their attorneys in court. Judge Richard Berman is on the bench. @KaraScannell
Prosecutor Maurene comey telling the judge that the dismissal of Epstein’s case “in no way prohibits” the governments ongoing investigation into the involvement of other potential co conspirators, bringing new charges in the future or filing a civil forfeiture of Epstein.
Judge is calling upon victims counsel for any remarks they wish to make and to introduce their clients who wish to be heard. 14 women have stood up.

The Cohen documents have just posted. More soon.
Prosecutors wrote in its letter to the judge that it has “effectively concluded its investigations of “who, besides Michael Cohen, was involved and whether certain individuals, made false statements, gave false testimony or otherwise obstructed justice with this investigation.”

Bill Taylor’s testimony is a rich document and the reports don’t do it justice. Such as this revelation that the knew Taylor disapproved of Trump’s extortion scheme so they failed to include him on the Ukraine readout.
I really wish Democrats would take testimony in public hearings. People don’t read!
I know I’ll be scolded for thinking all roads lead back to Putin, but boy, it sure is interesting how a couple of dummies like Giuliani and Trump had a level of detailed knowledge of the nuances of Russia/Ukraine relations that led them to happen upon this idea to frame Biden.
