Just released video shows New Mexico cop Zach Christensen slamming an 11-year-old girl into a concrete wall, then pinning her down on the ground, and twisting her hands behind her back - because he says she took “too many milks” from the school cafeteria. washingtonpost.com/education/2019…
The cop was allowed to resign before being discipined. The case was referred to the District Attorney, who declined to press charges.
Check out this statement: "Investigators with the state police force and the San Juan County District Attorney’s Office reviewed the case, but both agencies told the Farmington Daily Times that neither the officer *nor the student* would face criminal charges."
Because when a police officer brutalizes a child in the 6th grade, it always behooves the police and DA's office to investigate whether the child should be prosecuted.

Ever since I tweeted about NYPD police shootings on Friday, cop twitter has taken over my timeline. For the most part I have not engaged. It's kinda been escalating tho and I just saw this.
I am so used to trolls. I post about police violence all the time and I have had cop twitter descend on my timeline a before. They usually leave after a few days. But this time, they're sticking around, largely because of @/overheardonduty, a cop with huge following.
Every single time I tweet a simple matter-of-fact statement, dude replies that I am inciting violence or retweets, commenting same.

Like this, where I pointed out that Victor Hernandez who was killed by cops was the son of an NYPD officer.

Cops in the Australian city of Townsville yesterday tased an 11-year-old girl after she got into an altercation at her school.

The child’s race is unclear, but Townsville has a long history of racism & police violence towards Aboriginal/Black Australians.

The child is alleged to have caused a small puncture wound on her teacher's shoulder with a paring knife.

Police tased her when they say she refused verbal commands to give up the knife.
She's now facing a number of criminal charges in children's court and is in the custody of her family. They have despaired the lack of mental-health resources for children.

It's not enough for NYPD to say there were "unfounded reports" of a gun to justify the massive use of force to arrest a young Black man for farebeating.

Now they’ve got to smear him by pretty much outright saying he had a gun and somehow got rid of it before being arrested.
Believe me, if the NYPD had evidence that a young Black man had a gun, they would have arrested him for it.
AND they don't even need a gun to arrest someone for attempted possession of a weapon. So if they did indeed have a credible witness reporting a man brandishing a weapon, they could have arrested him based on that person's observation.

Reading through some of @TXTrumpette89's threads today, I came across a tweet with a link to a WSJ article discussing Tony Podesta's "art."
The article, web.archive.org/web/2016112704… named an artist Podesta seemed to enjoy a great deal, Serbian artist Biljana Djurdjevic. I'd not seen this particular name before in his repertoire of favored artists, so I did a quick search for this person's art work...
