aesthetic awakening is happening, you love to see it
the guy that wrote this book was the first person to have a solo retrospective of his lifes work at the metropolitan museum of art while he was still alive (just a cool fact and pretty bad ass). most of his paintings were studies on how colors interact with one another.
so imo hes like part painter part scientist studying how color “works” from a practical and artistic standpoint, and he wrote this book about his ideas. lots of pictures, its pretty “simple” and easy to take in and its a huge game changer. you should read it
even if youre not “an artist” (clumsy designator) understanding how color works in art and everyday life obviously has implications outside the field of painting and will enhance your enjoyment of everyday beautiful things. unique book for sure.
