"Black & white" dogma has harmed so many #faithfullyLGBT folks (and even straight / #exvangelical peeps too) so it's understandable to avoid ANY of that rhetoric, but some things *are* really bad and the harm comes not from binary language but from not naming that
Racism is bad.
Transphobia is bad.
Sexism is bad.
Homo/bi/queerphobia is bad.
We can have grace *for people* and be clear about the *impact of action*

Even the Bible (at risk of being a cherry-picker like evangelicals) admonishes against this "middle ground" sometimes: "So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth." - Revelation 3:16
The prophet Amos has some pretty strong words for religious practice without justice:
"your assemblies are a stench to me"
Jesus called out his fellow religious teachers whom he disagreed with as a "brood of vipers"
We are allowed—called, even—to name injustice

but we must also remember that they are also human and beloved children of God. and we are not perfect either. grace for others, grace for self, and always a pursuit of "do[ing] justice, lov[ing] mercy, and walk[ing] humbly"
