Watching these live horse and goat evacuations is horrible and also hopeful.

These strangers are heroes risking their lives ...

But really, if you can't evacuate your horses, you shouldn't own them.

We saw so many dead horses during Woolsey, left to die when owners evac'd.
Every day I drive past a home where my husband saw three horses dead the day after the initial fire storm, when he went back with his friends and chainsaws to put out fires.

It's just crushing.
