Guys, you may have already noticed I've been on here less. I haven't had a day off since August and so I'm dealing with some burnout. I'll be looking to create some space to relax for a few days.
My mission is to fight dictators. That gets more complicated when said dictators want me dead and want my team's work stopped, but I never minded what comes with the territory. What truly gets to me is that I'm stuck fighting bureaucracies instead.
Numerous journalists have asked me if I'm "scared". I'm not. I knew this would come, and I know that people like me don't die of old age. But believe me, this frustration is a thousand times more difficult than anything I felt in the past year.
I keep thinking how much more effective I would have been if not for the completely pointless and racist hurdles that gets thrown my way for no reason other than being a Palestinian refugee. The book would have been written. The foundation would be running bigger and smoother.
And even now, I'm just thinking that once the current storm passes (if it does) I won't exactly take out time to fight banks and governments offices. I'll go back to my fight. And this is how the racist bureaucracy gets away with it time after time after time.
And so I've almost decided to hire professionals to take care of this on my behalf - lawyers for sure, and publicists if necessary. I'll be coming back to you with a plan because I know you'll be supportive. I'm very grateful for your love. It keeps me going.
