The Supreme Court in its order in the Jagannath Puri case has noted that sebayats of the temple are made to behave rudely because of their poor economic situation due to lack of proper remuneration and has ordered the govt to grant them proper salaries
Further the Honorable Supreme Court has also ordered the Chief Architect of the state to come up with a proper plan for construction of a school for children of sebayats who are struggling to get proper education due to their poor economic situation.
@indiccollective's Arguing Counsel @jsaideepak and AOR @suvidutt deserve alot of praise for getting the Supreme Court's attention through their submissions on the poor economic situation of the sebayats immediately aft its temporary decision to ban dakshinas at Srimandira.

For all those saying Shore temple is not a temple but a monument, you must know that Shore temple is one of the 108 divya desams (Vishnu Kshetrams). Sthala sayana swamy of shore temple has been worshipped by Thirumangai Azhwar.
Various records also suggest that Pallava kings worshipped Sthala sayana before going to the battlefield. The shore temple was shifted to the current Sthala sayana swamy temple in front of Bhagiratha's penance (wrongly stated as Arjuna's penance) during Vijayanagara period
The reason for this shift has been mainly attributed to the rise in sea level which caused existential crisis for the temple on the shore.

The eviction drive at Puri reached the historic Emara Matha today. The matha which stands as a testimony of Ramanujacharya's arrival at Puri and his influence on the traditions of the temple is not only a heritage building but also a sacred place of worship for Vaishnavas
The matha which is believed to have been established by the disciples of Ramanujacharya and derives its name from Embar the cousin brother of Ramanujacharya. It is widely believed to be the place where Ramanujacharya stayed during his stint at Puri.
The matha has been involved in various social activities apart from being the supervisor of rituals at Srimandira. While Puri Shankaracharya is famous worldwide as protector of dharma at SriKshetra not many know that Emara Matha acharya was the spiritual guardian of the temple

2. The media,especially Deccan Chronicle,is distorting yesterday's Order to give d impression that d SC has directed that non-Hindus also be allowed entry into #Jagannath Temple subject to certain conditions.This is untrue.D Order clearly says it is a mere suggestion to consider
3. All stakeholders to Temple Management have the opportunity to now present their views to the Amicus Mr. Gopal Subramanium and the Committee to the constituted by the Union Government. This is the time to impress upon the Government to #FreeOurTemples.
