What she’s describing is a very large number of people knowing about this. It’s egregious.
How good is Stelter's newsletter going to be tonight?
Prediction: he's going to take ABC completely at their word that they were just so gosh darned concerned with doing good journalism and that’s why they sat on the story for 3 years and will spend a lot of time on James O’Keefe’s reliability.
He mostly skipped over O'Keefe though he did, obv, note that vid was "obtained by a right-wing, pro-Trump activist group" because this is...somehow relevant? And obviously he also wrote on pouncing we're all doing. But the rest I got right. Basically an ABC News press release.
I guess I'm sort of surprised that wanting to know why an internationally known pedophile was allowed to skate is becoming some kind of fringe issue of the right. Why wouldn't this matter to the left? Because "protect *our* media at all cost" or what?
Stelter's newsletter last night. Whistleblower outed & fired from their new media job because of what they did at their last job and this is all Brian has got. He does spend time on how jealous Trump will be of Bloomberg's wealth in his, checks notes, media criticism newsletter.
.@brianstelter DMs me that he's a correspondent not a critic and his newsletter's purpose is to report on, not criticize, the media. Stay tuned for massive correction on my tweet.

@brianstelter I said to Brian that it's a distinction without a difference but it's important to him that I get his title correct so it's: Chief Media Correspondent and Anchor. He did not respond to anything else in my tweets.
@brianstelter From tonight's newsletter. Two giant media companies conspired to fire a leaker and possibly got it wrong but they've issued no comment so nothing to see her and no *media reporting* to be done. Did find time to cover some absurd Media Matters nonsense.
@brianstelter No newsletter Sat but tonight's makes zero mention of a news org covering up charges against a serial child molester and then having a different org wrongly fire someone they thought leaked that information. We did, however, learn E. Jean Carroll's feelings on the Bustle firings.
@brianstelter I'll stop now. We all knew this was where it was going to end up. Media reporters who only choose to report on media they don't like isn't some twist. It's standard. This was just such a blatant example of that it needed to be documented.
