A friend just sent me the National Weather Service's flood data for Charleston. When I was a kid, Charleston averaged between 9 and 19 flood tides a year. It now averages more than 40 a year.

Charleston's at the point where roads sometimes are closed due to flooding on sunny days...during a drought.
JUST THIS YEAR THERE HAS BEEN ONE FLOOD EVENT EVERY FIVE DAYS IN CHARLESTON
