DHS tries to wash its hands of the fact that any fee they establish for asylum applications *automatically applies to immigration court* by saying that's EOIR's problem. They don't calculate any costs or even consider the effects.

There are some massive increases in fees in the rarer forms, including a 559% increase ($230 to $1,515) for Form I-929, Petition for Qualifying Family Member of a U-1 Nonimmigrant, and a 532% increase ($285/$570 to $1800) in form I-881, for NACARA special rule cancellation.
