Victoria Nuland and Geoffrey Pyatt hatched the plan to withhold sovereign loan guarantees from Ukraine to force the firing of Viktor Shokin, the country's top prosecutor, according to George Kent's closed-door testimony.
At the time (late 2015):

Nuland - top State Dept. official handling Ukraine
Pyatt - U.S. ambassador to Ukraine
Shokin - prosecutor handling Burisma case
Joe Biden - VPOTUS
Hunter Biden - member of Burisma board
Nuland also

- Got reports from Chris "Dossier" Steele via Winer starting as early as 2014 ⁽¹⁾
- Got copy of Steele dossier in July 2016 ⁽²⁾
- Passed three Steele reports to Pyatt in Nov. 2015 ⁽³⁾

NEWS: Details of the classified July 25 Trump-Zelensky call had leaked to a member of a think tank with no need-to-know as early as July 29, according to Phil Reeker's testimony.

Note: Marie Yovanovitch, who also had no need-to-know, was also leaked to.
This former ambassador worked for the Atlantic Council and has connections to Burisma, according to Rep. Meadows.

Later in the deposition, Herbst's name is not redacted when Rep. Tom Malinowsky (D-NJ) returns to the subject.

Notably, Malinowsky has Reeker agree that it is possible the Ukrainians leaked the call details.

George Kent said that Amb. Pyatt made a speech in Sept. 2015 and that it was clear the U.S. was "pushing for Shokin's ouster."

Transcript of Pyatt's speech says the U.S. wanted to work with Shokin in the fight against corruption.

Amb. Pyatt did call for the firing of officials involved in the closing of the case against Zlochevsky in late December 2014.

But Shokin was not one of the officials involved. His term began in February 2015.
Notably, in earlier testimony, Kent showed that he was aware that the Zlochevsky case was closed before Shokin took office, which makes the following statement by Kent even odder in light of what Pyatt said in the speech.

May just be a memory lapse since this was years ago.

Without them it's just blogging, and that just gets swallowed up in all the white noise. But when you have documents and proof it then becomes something with teeth.
