This is going to be a really out-there thought, but bear with me.

If you listen to Kellyanne Conway talk, it's like she is constantly gaslighting everybody who tries to challenge her or ask her for a straight answer.

If she were a man, I would suspect that she is abusive to people around here. Why is it different because she is a woman?

Some point, the manipulation and distraction techniques become scary. And maybe she can separate that from her private life, and it's all a persona.

But I sort of doubt it.

I don't necessarily think George Conway is a victim, but I suspect she is abusive. Their dynamic certainly seems unhealthy (if it is real - and her response in the clip above makes me think their marriage is real) and I hope George Conway is safe.

The good news is that a wealthy, educated white man has a lot of options in our society. I'm not in any way comparing him with most abused women.

The bad news is that (should she be this abusive in private) it can be hard for men in our culture to see themselves as victims.
