Whether they knew it or didn’t, as Greta’s father drover her alone on Northern AB roads and highways, some of the other drivers around them were angry/agitated Rebel followers.

And Rebel had taken efforts to show their car to hundreds of thousands.

The CPC is in far more serious trouble than the election results showed.

Popular Vote
ROC 28.6%
AB/SK 67%

This in a year when Libs lost huge ground.

Where is the CPC going to get those votes back? 1/
When Canadians have swung 66% in favour of climate action, hard to see how the CPC can form even a minority govt in the foreseeable future.

Their path to power depends on making huge gains in that ROC where they got 28% of the vote. 2/
In ROC, the CPC must return to the centre.

But AB/SK pols are taking a hard line, demanding more, talking separatism.

Anger is Jason Kenney’s jet fuel.

Since his entry to AB politics he’s stoked anger at every issue except the real cause of his problem:

The collapse of oil prices, which is structural, not cyclical.

AB’s entire business model has been upended.

Its production has increased 60% over the last decade, but prices are so low that the industry is losing $$ & major players/investors are pulling up stakes.
2/
Ergo the importance of a pipeline to tidewater, providing access to higher world prices, is so crucial.

It’s existential for AB’s economy, and very important to Canadian gdp & tax base.

There’s more risk here for Canada too. 3/

Here's what people need to remember: Obama spent 8 years trying to get that Iran Deal done. To accomplish it, he had to stay in the good graces of the Iranian mullah's #1 benefactor: Russia's Vladimir Putin.

Hence, the "Russian Reset", Skolkovo Initiative, U1, etc.
This is also why Obama dared not take any action at all to enforce that 'red line' in Syria, or speak up to loudly when Putin annexed Crimea & then invaded Ukraine.

And now we know of ANOTHER COMPELLING REASON Obama had to stay on Putin's good side.
Ambassador Yovanovitch was just testifying about this: the former unbelievably corrupt President of Ukraine, to whom the US & others were funneling BILLIONS of dollars thru IMF...was a Putin puppet.

We were essentially feeding billions to a corrupt Putin puppet gov't.

The research says: "71 percent of those surveyed believe that 'their local news outlets are doing very or somewhat well financially.' Only 14 percent have paid for or given money to local news … in the past year."

It fairly notes that local #TVnews is "often" a source more than any other, and 86% of people watch local TV news at least sometimes, along with 79% for radio news.

The older people in INEC who helped rig will not suffer any form of backlash or shame among their peers or in their communities.

Nobody will ask them why they are destroying the lives of over 100 MILLION YOUNG PEOPLE.
