Hank and Connor decorating a Christmas tree for the first time.

They hang almost all of Cole’s favorite ornaments and lay out the gaudy ass manger scene that’s 80% donkeys and camels around the baby Jesus, because the other figurines got fucking melted in their attic when they lived in California.

Connor makes cookies for Hank and a batch to give to Tina later, because she invited him to her baby shower over the summer. The ones he makes for Hank are snickerdoodle.

Sumo gets a new bed *before* Christmas because he *deserves* it, and they lay it close to the tree so he can sleep beneath the scent of his tiny owner that still lingers off it faintly.

He’s getting a sweater this year, and it’s green cable knit, but first, Connor’s going to put him in one of Hank’s oversized t- shirts and take pictures. Watch him blunder around with his tail thumping happily in a death metal shirt and looking like purest, best boy.

They cuddle on the couch and watch one of Connor’s inappropriate horror themed Christmas movies, because he’s obsessed with Hollywood gore. He sneaks a hand up Hank’s shirt to feel around the soft hair and extra padding there, basking in all that warmth.

Hank doesn’t let him off so easily.

He wants to give Connor a little reward for nearly dying while hanging the Christmas lights outside. Hank pulls Connor down with him onto the sofa -having to pull a bit harder, because they’ve practically merged with it in all their lounging.

He rolls them over so he’s on top and pulls Connor’s legs apart and sinks his hips between them so he can lay on him. Provide him that slightly strange, but also oddly adorable fixation Connor has for being crushed under Hank’s weight.

Hank nibbles on his throat and rubs the scruff of his beard there. He nips and licks and warms him up underneath him, even though Connor’s internal regulator is perfectly capable on its own.

Connor glows shades of blue under Hank’s attentive touch, lets him thread their fingers together over his head. Hank rubs the little bit of hardness their sporting, but are far too tired to get up properly, together.

They can make do.

Hank can slide his hand underneath his sweatpants and finger him, instead. Just make lazy strokes with his hand that grow slick with Connor’s wet heat as soon as he plugs a finger inside. Hank rubs his thumb over his taint and sinks up to the knuckle in Connor’s hole.

The other groans and pushes his head back further. Hank lavishes kisses and sucks over his throat, purring deep, rumbling waves into the freckled skin. Hank *revels* in the long, low moans that practically vibrate from him.
