Before diving into the annual Iowa-Nebraska corn jokes, I want to salute the people of both states for weathering the devastating Missouri Valley floods of 2019 that caused billions in damage and killed several people. 
I drove I-29 from Sioux City to Kansas City last summer, and the scale of destruction was mind boggling. Hundreds of farms lost 2 crops, 2019's and a 2018 crop still in storage bins that were destroyed by the flood.
I have family & friends on both sides of the Missouri who were impacted by this, and whether Nebraskan or Iowan, both faced it with the same flatlander stoicism and gallows humor.
I have annually goofed on Nebraska, but the hidden core of the joke is that there really isn't that much of a difference between the 2 states. Besides, as someone who is ethnically 1/4th Nebraskan, I can't truly dislike the Huskers.

That all said, Iowa corn is vastly superior to Nebraska corn #GoHawkeyes
