Ok, I'm about to start reading the Krassenstein rebuttal to the bizarre Alan Bender affadavit the other week, which among other things, alleged that @IlhanMN was a Qatari agent in the US government. Will tweet any tidbits. via @HKrassenstein medium.com/@eddiekrassens…

Bender claims leverage over @Imamofpeace because he has incriminating infor- If released, he'd be “sharing a jail cell with Epstein and George Nader.

[Thread] 1/ The fake copy and pasted story going round yesterday alleging that the photo of the boy on the Leeds hospital floor was staged has been supplemented by a new fake story. As with before, a former nurse is claiming, as an expert, that the story is clearly fake
2/ What's interesting about this is the extent to which these accounts are targetting @allisonpearson - the columnist for the @Telegraph who has indulged the sock puppet accounts by seeming open to the idea that the photo was staged. I have done a small visual showing this...
@allisonpearson @Telegraph 3/ In the animation, you can see nodes and edges, at the centre of which is @allisonpearson . The light blue arrows represent people tweeting the lie to Allison. The fact there are so many are because people are retweeting the original line, which then creates notifications

[Thread]1/ This one is about the fake news claiming that a sick boy on the floor of a hospital in leeds was staged by his mother. We know the story is real, Dr Yvette Oade, chief medical officer at Leeds even apologised bbc.com/news/uk-englan…
2/ Firstly, the bots and sock puppet accounts are on the case on Twitter. As you can see, an identical tweet claiming the mother staged the photo was circulated on Twitter. It's literally copied and pasted, and the accounts are targeting it at various influencers
3/ Even more alarming is on Facebook. The exact same tweet is mentioned on dozens of fairly dodgy looking FB accounts. What's more, is that some of these posts are pasted into groups where they get liked and commented on, often by people who seem to believe it ... #bbcqt

When we last saw our intrepid heroes, they had just made their way through the first 21.5 pages of the 35-page document.
To review: this covered the introduction, statement of facts, and legal argument on the question of whether the TCPA applies in this defamation case, and whether Vic is a public figure.
Whether the TCPA applies is, to be sure, a threshold issue. However, it's also one that's so clearly going to go the defendants' way that at one point Ty was talking about not really arguing it.

Instead, he seems to have spent nearly 1/3 of the brief on it.

Wake up to see myself tagged in a bunch of tweets re an article about online Twitter abuse becoming ‘worse than ever before’ for journalists.

‘Huh’, is my response, mostly cos I’m still waking up.
I check the date - it’s almost #AnzacDay.

‘Huh’, I think, again. This time I am totally awake... but not quite sure of the appropriate way to process these bits of information.
Part of me wants to tell those who are clocking onto the hatred online - ‘m8, welcome to the club! I’ve set up a tent, cmon!’

Because the reality is the internet - as the world - has always been a shitshow of vile abuse.

But then I feel bad, coz this is obviously new for some.
