Every semester I allow my Civil Procedure students to complete a "creativity" assignment for extra credit, where they find a unique way to explain one of the concepts. The students always blow me away. Here are some of my favorites this year 1/
Two students created a quiz game and pitted me against one of my colleagues. A correct answer allowed the professor to throw a dart to uncover pieces of a complaint. 2/
Students re-wrote How the Grinch Stole Christmas--service on Cindy Lou was improper! 3/
There was a personal jurisdiction coloring and activity book--my youngest kid loved this one! 4/
There's a personal jurisdiction board game--that was almost impossible to win! 5/
Some students re-made Monopoly! 6/
This electronic board for personal jurisdiction is pretty impressive. 7/
There were not one, but two Jeopardy games! I particularly loved the "Professor Douglas" category in one of them, which were all questions about baseball!

There was also a jenga supplemental jurisdiction game, to show the shakiness of supplemental jurisdiction if all of the elements of Section 1367 are not met. 9/
Another student created a game with a robot; someone made a powerpoint using the Bachelorette who needed to decide which plaintiff had personal jurisdiction; there were several fun powerpoint presentations to show the concepts, a few videos, and even a new song on pleading! 10/
Two students re-wrote the theme song to Fresh Prince of Bell-Air:
"Now this is a story all about how,
Civ Pro got flipped-turned upside down,
And I'd like to take a minute,
Just sit right there,
I'll tell you how Neff become involved in this affair." 11/
On the first day of class we listened to Ten Duel Commandments from @HamiltonMusical; some students re-wrote that song as well:

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine
It’s personal jurisdiction
It’s personal jurisdiction
Number one
14th amendment, Long arm... 12/
I always LOVE these projects. The students are so creative and innovative! I hope you enjoyed them as well. /end
