I somehow managed to book a creepy log cabin to do some intensive writing in for a few days...

A couple of days ago, I shared this image of my youngest son looking at a picture of #CaptainMarvel.
It got quite a bit of attention. Most of it very positive...
...But it blew me away that people could see this picture, and use it to launch an attack.
As a writer for @DCComics AND @Marvel, I genuinely love the heroes at both companies. And I want nothing but success for all their films and comics. #ManyUniversesOneFamily...
...A friendly rivalry can be fun, but I will never understand those who feel they have to put down one hero to boost another. That’s not how this works. If you love these heroes, and you’ve learned from them, then you know this...

Damn it!
I am so very sorry to hear about Margot Kidder.
I was fortunate enough to spend a bit of time with Margot.
And she WAS Lois Lane. Or rather, what made Lois great was Margot.
Margot fought against injustice through her political and social activism.
I was already in awe of her, and that only grew as she pragmatically told me about standing up to things bigger and more powerful than herself.

I have a LOT of thoughts about Spider-man Far From Home.
It is definitely not fakey, it's a true. I will avoid spoilers but if you REALLY don't want any spoilers at all, maybe mute this thread.
First, I thought Gyllenhaal stole the movie. He is so effortlessly earnest and sincere in the beginning that all I could think was he should have played Superman. Terrific piece of acting all the way through.

There’s an old PM joke that goes like this:

PMs hate Spider-Man. He gets to say “With great power comes great responsibility”. PMs have to say “With great responsibility comes NO power”.

Funny... but untrue. PMs love Spider-Man and they have a lot of power. Thread 👇
1/ The Spider-Man joke always bugged me because it seemed like something a PM might say to display some false modesty at best, or because they really had no idea how to lead at worst. Two ways you don’t want to portray yourself as a PM.
2/ I’ve gotten to see so many great product managers do their work. All of them have enough power and they understand their responsiblity to use it wisely. None of them have ever told me the joke.

If you’re a new, aspiring-to-be-great PM, you should know your power.

Washington DC is the Septic Drain Field of America, a giant sewage system housing every power hungry, money hungry, blood sucking politician. They will do mostly anything to be apart of the “club” they swear to uphold the constitution, however swear at it. #DC #Swamp
People go there to bring change and in a matter of months are changed! #DC #Swamp
Not just the politicians, the organizations, all hell bent of controlling the system, from think tanks to government agencies, operating outside of the constitution. DC is filled with alphabet agencies, including alphabet news agencies, all under control of the cabal!
