Today, I will try my hand at live tweeting insights from "A #Home of One's Own", a two-day #researchworkshop on socially & economically #marginalised women's experiences of and negotiations with #genderinequalities in #informalurbanhousing in India.
This workshop has been organised by #JadavpurUniversity (School of Women's Studies), #RabindraBharathiUniversity (Centre for Women's Studies) and #Parichiti, a women's organisation. All three are research partners on a #GCRF project funded by @GoldsmithsUoL.
Since Oct 2018, I have collaborated with Dr. Henrike Donner, who is leading it, to develop #researchcollaborations with #educational and #development organisations in India to implement a pilot study on #genderurbanhousing. This workshop marks the end of the first phase.

Then... Yetty’s actual friend Ms_juwwie entered and the next thing , peng enough and others started coming to her page to attack her and claim subs which aren’t theirs. That was when I stepped in because people were beginning to press this girl.
For something she never called anyone to. They did not just mentione her; they called her names after repeatedly subbing her. They didn’t even give her handle rest for a second. Now, all of a sudden. Omohtee is the victim.

The first thing is that if you live in a drafty old home or apartment, there's plenty you can do today, for almost no money, and it's easy. Making your living space more energy efficient (and more comfortable!) is a game of inches. Every little thing helps. 2/n
If there are drafts around your windows, as in an old home, you can use peel-off caulk. It can be taken off when it gets warm again. It might seem intimidating to use a caulking gun, but it's no harder than icing a cupcake.

Today, I have become a feminist. I was an indirect victim of domestic violence. I am shaken at how the police would condemn someone who was obviously victimized and almost killed and ask her why should she leave her husband. Today I lost faith in this country.
I was in a vehicle with a potential client, she wanted out because her husband was abusive and violent. The next thing I saw was a man trying to forcefully gain entrance into the vehicle. I thought it was armed robbers. I shouted madam drive!
She drove, this man climbed on the vehicle and continued to hit. I was lost, I was wondering what desperate robber would go to this extent and try to rob. I thought driving off would scare him. This man started hitting the windscreen till he broke it.
