Sigh. For the 34,504th time, dude. The Founders did not warn about the dangers of a one party impeachment because THEY DID NOT HAVE PARTIES IN 1787 AND THEY DESIGNED THE CONSTITUTION ASSUMING THEY WOULDN'T EXIST.
For all of the "well actually" folks out there talking about factions...yes, the founders were concerned about factions and they sometimes referred to groups with shared interests as "parties," but these are nothing like the modern, institutionalized parties that emerged later.
And also, this is a really minor historical point. All I'm saying is, anyone who has seriously studied the Constitution and that era knows that the founders had no conception of parties that bears any resemblance to how we now understand them.
The point is, either this guy knows this history and is lying about it for rhetorical effect, or he doesn't know this history and thus shouldn't pretend like he does.
