Mikel Arteta a bright, positive appointment for Arsenal and one they can look upon with foresight. This isn't interim or safe pair of hands, it's a coach that Arsenal can build with and forge a new identity. It's bold but it's also common sense for a club in need of an overhaul.
For what Arteta lacks in experience, he has already set about making up for in his early moves as coach. His work on teaching players new positions (Delph, Zinchenko), helping them integrate (Rodri) and ironing out their weaknesses (Sterling) has been notable behind the scenes.
It's important that Arteta gets the support and time to create something at Arsenal. There will

This a bold but calculated move and one that should've been made from the start of the post-Wenger era. Mentioned that in the initial Emery thread that did the rounds. He had no experience? So what. Arsenal are starting from scratch and build a reputation again.
Arsenal are stagnating as a club. Unai Emery was lost and lacked clarity. Arteta coming in now allows him to assess the squad/lay down the foundations for next season. From now until end of current campaign, it's an opportunity to see what works, doesn't...and analyse players.
Last point. Arteta’s mentality of course needs to built upon his football philosophy but it cannot be everything. Managers sometimes get wrapped up in their style and forget to forge a winning mentality. This will be as decisive as the brand of football he wishes to play.
