I have vivid memories of an appearance Dec. 12, 2017, on a panel at the Re-Wire Policy Conference in Seattle titled "Identity Politics, White Supremacy and the Alt-Right." I was more or less shut down by the other panelists for calling out Matt Shea as a problem for Republicans.
The video at this panel was never posted, but you can get an idea what kind of conference it was from this.

I explained that white supremacists already had a policy presence in the form of Shea -- at the time No.2 in the House GOP caucus -- and was attacked by other panelists (primarily libertarian Robin Koerner) for allegedly smearing him. Shea is a nice man, the audience was assured.
