We want to remind everyone of a few things when you are planning your commute during the Holiday. So, please pay close attention to the thread. This may help keep you sane while traveling! 
Before you begin your journey, check weather and road conditions. Use Quickmap to show you info about road conditions such as closures, incidents, chain control, etc. You can look this up online, or download it for FREE from your app store.
Make sure you have emergency supplies in your car: water, food, charger for your phone, blankets, first aid kit, etc. Be safe rather than sorry and travel prepared!
Try not to drive during inclement weather. If you must drive during a storm, slow down and leave enough space between you and other vehicles.
If you visit the mountains, BRING CHAINS. It doesn't matter your vehicle, you are required to have them in your car. If chain control is in effect, you will be instructed to put them on at those designated locations.
No matter where you visit, please, Keep California Green and pick up your trash. Take what you bring or find a suitable trash can and throw it away.
And remember, Be patient and courteous with other drivers! Give yourself extra time to travel. Remember, everyone is also trying to visit their loved ones during the holiday, and we want everyone to get to their destinations safely.
