In Sanskrit:
Rohini nakshatra is Aldebaran.
Ardra nakshatra is Betelgeuse.
The lordships of each star are known from pre Mahabharata times: at least from 3067 BCE.
Lord of Aldebaran is Praja-Pati.
Lord of Ardra is Rudra (Shiva as destroyer and lord of new beginnings )

Similarly Antares is Jyestha. The elder/the big one.
You know about this from Udyoga:141:18 in the Mahabharata. The lordship of this star is assigned to Shakra or Indra.

Each star has a peculiar significance.
I will explain in my workshop exactly what some of these stars signify AND why exactly the presence of grahas in these parts of the sky is deemed so significant.

For example. Consider Rohini or Aldebaran:
It is shaped like a cart. The presence of:
1. Saturn
2. Mars
3. A comet
Will cause “Rohini Shakata bheda “ if it goes more than 2 degrees latitude south of Rohini...

The thing is when did it happen?
Can it happen in the 3000BCE region or should we assume that the work of other authors is correct and the “Shakata bheda” cannot occur unless you reach 5000/9000 BCE?
This is an interesting question and I will endeavour to put in my thoughts soon.

How the sky would have looked to a Jyotirvid observer 6 months before 9/11:
on 11th September 2001, Saturn turns retrograde in Rohini/Aldebaran.
Please note Jupiter and Saturn’s position and proximity to Aldebaran. (Rohini nakshatra)

Now do you understand why Saturn must be at Rohini/Aldebaran at the time of the Mahabharata war?
Who can tell me what else happened that year?

Who all are following the paradigms of the Mahabharata dating?

Why exactly do Vyasa and Karna make such a strong statement about Saturn at Rohini? What’s so special about Rohini nakshatra/Aldebaran?

I have tapes with imprinted dates showing I did all these simulations in 2007/8 recorded on my Z1 Sony camera.

When you look at these visible observations of the night sky, are you now aware of how little modern astrologers can know?
What sort of visual evidence is being presented in those two snapshots of the night sky?

Now...when you see this particular table of analogies being used in 5561BCE to try and prove Moon phase data, can you think of what absurdities it will introduce? (and I have shown something here which proves it definitively.. beyond doubt, but for those who still think it’s ok)

I am asking those astronomers and other mahanubhavs who are still backing this Moon phase data. Do you even know what sort of greater absurdities this supposed data will introduce besides what I have already shown?

So many eclipses, so many conjunctions occur every year. Do all of them prove problematic?
Do all of them produce a result in mundane matters as seen in retrospect?
What is the secret behind Saturn’s transit and in which stars will it produce that mundane result?

As an astrologer, one may say xyz, BUT why do Jyotirvid’s able to give a completely different insight into events?
Why is May 25th 2031AD an important date in Mundane terms?

This event is 10 years and 6 months from now. Mundane Jyotisha is based on these observations of the night sky...
but to return to yesterday, why is 2001 such a significant year from a mundane Jyotish point of view?

The question arises, what is the connection of that Rohini/Aldebaran nakshatra to Krishna and Balarama?
Why Saturn’s transit of Rohini/Aldebaran was considered so problematic?

Because a lot of the people looking at the Mahabharata dating are astronomers and very few have been nakshatra Jyotishis and astronomers, these are not matters which have been explored or explained ever.
