The entire purpose of the debate on the astronomy of the Mahabharata war between @NileshOak and me is to make at least a few people study our astronomy.
Please read for yourselves what either/both of us are saying and analyse. That way Indian Astronomy will progress.
Scientific analysis is about the application of your own intellect to our respective claims. I am no doubt fiercely debating my corner and will continue to do so and @NileshOak will fight his, BUT you as Indians need to read what we are saying. Ask questions after reading.
Once you reach your conclusions, please debate this with me. Depending on the time I have, I will try and make the response. That will mean that you will then understand and who knows.... one day you may reach your own conclusions and findings.
Matlab, I can debate both positions either way extemporaneously, but what use is that?
Please read and then study deeply. It’s your History after all AND if you don’t make the effort to tell your own history then somebody else will do it for you na?
Ok, so for all the people who think that there is a contradiction between Udyog and Bhismaparvan, here is a detailed presentation inside my blog. (Image shows Saturn’s position and eclipses in 2183 BCE)

There is absolutely no contradiction in the references between Udyog and Bhismaparvan, in fact Atharvaveda Parishistha follows the exact same manner of description of omens : Detailed slide presentation here:

3067BCE vs 5561BCE major references corroborate or not
@NileshOak Is it still your contention that the Mahabharata war started on Jyestha Amavasya (in 5561BCE)?
Would anybody else like to confront me in debate on the dating of the Mahabharata using Astronomy, uncut unedited on camera?
My side is 3067BCE
Come to Delhi in Jan 2020.
Pranaam!!
Let’s up the ante a little bit:
I am now offering 100,000 Rs to anyone who can prove that this sequence occured in THIS PRECISE ORDER in any other year than 3067BCE
👇🏻
Right. Let’s up the ante.
Pandit and Achar’s theorem for eclipse pairs during the Mahabharata war: part 1
Do, for those who debate whether what we say is what the critical edition says as well:
Here is the exact set of verses for eclipses: Udyoga and Bhisma Parvan
Now, many researchers say that the eclipse pairs should not be of importance in dating the Mahabharata. This is subjective. Part 2 of theorem is here:
Saturn’s position in the Mahabharata war: no cherry picking only scientific dissection by Achar

Part 3 of the Theorem on Eclipse pairs in dating Mahabharata: Caveats and Exclusions
Before I sign off for Navratri, I will say this. Regardless of how much I may disagree with @NileshOak and his methodology in the dating of the Mahabharata and argue with him, he is way way way and then some, better than the likes of Trushke and others.
Cheers and good night.
A clue to the Tithi of the start of the war which not one other person on Twitter picked up till now. Only a clue, and what does the critical edition say?
And what are the exact verses? But for now look at this.
👇🏻
Pandit and Achar’s theorem for Tithi for the start of Mahabharata war part 1:
The Gita was delivered on a Ekadashi just before the start of the war. Does the critical edition support an Ekadashi for start of the war? Answer: yes
Pandit and Achar’s theorem for start Tithi of the Mahabharata war: Part 2
Exclusionary criteria:
The war CANNOT start on a Amavasya (according to Udyoga Parva 140:18)
Any hypothesis proposing that the war start on an Amavasya must be rejected.
Critical Thinking as far as the Inclusionary and Exclusionary criteria for the Tithi for start of the war stand:
astronomyofindia.wordpress.com/2019/09/30/exc…
Now for more controversy: Lets bring Shakyamuni Buddha into the picture:
Mahabharata: 3067BCE
Gautam Buddha: 1807BCE
Swami Vivekananda: 1902 CE
We are now pushing Buddha’s date back by more than a millennium. A paper will be on the blog sometime in the next week.
In short:
As far as Mahabharata war goes:
Critically evaluated evidence says clearly that the war cannot start on an Amavasya.
In addition, war must start on an Ekadashi.
In 3067BCE, both criteria fit,
In 5561 BCE both criteria fail.
Critically evaluated evidence points to the fact that:
The eclipse pairs during the war must be a lunar followed by a solar eclipse.
UNLESS it’s an eclipse season:
In 3067 BCE, both criteria fit, (Lunar- Solar- Lunar)
In 5561 BCE both criteria fail. (ie Solar followed by Lunar)
Critically evaluation points to the fact that the only researcher who ever tried to find out whether the supposed multiple positions of Saturn between the different Parvas actually could be reconciled, is Dr Achar: showing Saturn in Rohini in 3067BCE
astronomyofindia.wordpress.com/2019/09/29/sat…
All those who still feel that the war started on an Amavasya should prepare to be shocked because further incontrovertible evidence to the contrary will be provided. (Beyond what is already known).
Can anybody guess what this is?
