@PrakashJavdekar and now @AmitShah have said that NPR has nothing to do with NRC.

But this government has linked NPR to NRC multiple times. The MHA has said so at least 5 times in the Lok Sabha and at least 3 times in the Rajya Sabha.

This is not even counting the numerous government websites, both of the centre and of different states, have said NPR is the first step to NRC.
