.@narendramodi We used some of the brains you asked us to. You are right “Jhoot chalne wala nahi hai, desh svekar karne wala nahi hai”, lies will not work, this country will not accept utter lies such as those you liberally peppered your speech with.

#ModiLies #CAA_NRC_Protest
1. You say hate on Modi, why are you hating on India, don’t burn the poor person’s hut and so on and so forth

Those you presumably accuse of hatred, are neither hating on you, the country or burning the poor person’s hut.
Dissenting against unconstitutional laws and state acts of violence that breach basic constitutional values are founded on exercising and protecting the fundamental right to liberty - they are born out of love for this country or the idea of what it was to be at least.
2. You defend the #CAA saying that it doesn’t apply to any Indian citizen

Irrespective, the CAA is unconstitutional. Religion cannot become the basis of citizenship in our nation. It also sets a dangerous precedent for more laws that are similarly discriminatory.
Also, why explicitly is CAA restricted to only countries that are perceived or established Islamic theocracies? If the intent truly is to offer a tenable path to citizenship for persecuted minorities, please go do your homework - no one is buying your deceit.
Also useful for you to revisit, ICYMI, @AmitShah’s many outings linking #CAA and #NRC

3. You say #CAA is not taking away anyone's citizenship but provides citizenship to religiously persecuted minorities from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh

As many people have reiterated again and again, the issue is not about who benefits, but it is about who is left behind.
You talk about providing citizenship to 'religiously persecuted minorities' from three countries. Aside from the fact that the act itself does not mention 'religious persecution', why does it discriminate on who is offered citizenship?
Why are Srilankan Tamils, Rohingyas from Myanmar and Ahmadiyas/Shias from Pakistan, who face equal amounts of religious persecution not being considered? There are also different types of persecution itself- political, religious, social.
Therefore, this does not qualify under the purview of 'reasonable classification' as many people have argued. It inherently violates Article 14, equal protection under the law.
Citizenship based on religion goes against the secular fabric of the country- brush up on the Constitution please. Watch @gautambhatia88 explain.

4. You say that it is a rumour that there will be no nation-wide #NRC - since 2014 your government has not uttered the word NRC except in the context of Assam.

You please talk to @AmitShah, “NRC aane wala hai”.
Among many many assertions of nation-wide NRC (not asserted as a priority by any other government but you), watch the most recent articulations in parliament:

5. You claim that #DetentionCenters are a myth, are a lie created by Urban Naxals

Repeating thrice that something is a lie, does not make it one.

On Jan 9th, MHA sent “Model Detention Centre/Holding Centre/Camp Manual” to all States and Union Territories.
On July 2nd, Mr Nityanand Rai informed the Lok Sabha that State governments have been instructed to set up detention centres from time to time (2009, 2012, 2014 and 2018).
Additionally, these detention centres already exist in some states. Assam has six such centres - Kokrajhar, Goalpara, Jorhat, Tezpur, Dibrugarh and Silchar. Twenty eight people have died at these centres since 2016 beginning to 13th October 2019.
And everyone knows about the Goalpara detention centre being built. ICYMI, see here:

Your record with the #NRC in one state is enough cause for worry. People who live with social and economic disadvantage are the receiving end of faults in the NRC exercise, even the smallest of error margins places a high cost on human lives.
People have died by suicide owing to the sheer indignity of having to prove their eligibility and yet ending up stateless.

6. You say Muslims being misled, and that have always ensured that documents will never come in way of development schemes and their beneficiaries.

Really? Let's take the example of Aadhar and how people were systematically excluded from Aadhar linked welfare.
Many persons with disabilities whose biometrics could not be registered for various reasons have suffered terribly because without the Aadhar, they couldn't access their disability pensions. People have died of hunger because they could no longer access PDS.
7. You talk of the police, their sacrifices and how they are being oppressed (are we to presume by antiCAA, NRC protestors?)

You failed to utter a single word about those who have lost their lives, their families in the latest stream of state violence unleashed by the police.
You have the audacity to talk of “Maun sahamati” - people are complicit by their silence in atrocities against police, you say. Go do your homework first before advising the rest of us on citizenship. Plenty of videos showing #PoliceBrutality.
In many parts of the country, police are using disproportionate force, ruthlessly beating up peaceful protestors, sparing not even children, open firing, targeting muslims, detaining arbitrarily. You are complicit in this violence.

8. You say an infiltrator never reveals his identity and a refugee never hides his identity. Why don't they speak the truth? They are scared that their reality will come out.

This is a deliberate targeting of a certain community that is coming out and protesting for their rights
You say #NRC and #CAA have nothing to do with Muslims in India- but then you make a thinly veiled reference to them as 'infiltrators'. You also made a similar comment a few days ago, about how 'protesters can be identified by their clothes'.
9. You ask: Why are 'they' misleading the country? Why are 'they' misleading the Muslims of the country?

We have explained above some of your lies regarding detention centers and the NRC- it is really you who are misleading the country with your blatant lies.
The least you can do is acknowledge the issue. But you deliberately turn the focus on a minority group and claim that they are being 'misled'.
When you don't listen to people and try to delegitimize their concerns as coming from false influence, you are depriving them of their fundamental dignity as a human being, of their agency. It's the worst thing you can do in this situation.
