I’m actively rooting for Bernie Sanders to win now. Just so in 2022 when he hasn’t actually kicked off “The Revolution” and all his progressive policies are still in gridlock in the Senate, I can laugh at all the people crying about how “he lied to them” like they did Obama

like my man really compared Bernie to Rosa Parks, Malcolm X & MLK.

The blind worship of politicians has to stop. Lot of folks ended up feeling “tricked” by Obama cause they didn’t realize that “Hope & Change” was a fucking campaign slogan

“My 18 year old self believe so much in what he was saying…” - okay I hear you but someone should have told you…he was a politicians and politicians get maybe 50% of what they say done…and even that’s high

And a Bernie Presidency would be the same. A lot of promises that hit the wall of reality and then the same folks that turned on Obama cause he ‘didn’t get anything done’ will turn on Bernie

Folks turning these politicians into Jesus and becoming apostles and honestly that’s fucked up more things than anything.

What’s gonna happen when Bernie keeps that drone program folks want to label Obama a war criminal for? What happens when he doesn’t completely pull troops out of foreign countries?

Hell, what happens if the conservative supreme court shoots down any changes for Healthcare like they did with the ACA?

If what’s happened in the past is any indication, folks will turn on Bernie (or whoever the president is), claim they were “lied to” and then the cycle of losing the House and then the senate to the GOP begins again.

I honestly don’t care who the Dem nominee is at this time (as long as it ain’t Tulsi or one of those billionaires that has no chance).

What I do care about is that no one (the candidates or their supporters) are being honest with just how long it will take to implement some of these policies.

It’s gonna take multiple presidencies. That’s just a reality. doing damage is easier politically than doing good. we’ve seen that. just to undo some of the things that Trump & the GOP has done is like 1 term itself.

Folks need to realize this is a long term commitment that won’t be solved by one person being elected as President and until we as a people realize that, politicians are gonna oversimplify and over promise
