It will someday be exposed that many (if not most) of YouTube and Instagram's "Edgelord" personalities are funded or otherwise supported by overt white supremacist/white nationalist groups.

Basically, Edgelords use humor and irreverence to entice teens and tweens, who are naturally looking for ways to push away from the standards and mores of their parents/communities.

They're too young to grasp that these "jokes" are desensitizing them to racism and other oppressions.

When we push back against Edgelord "humor" we confirm for them what the Edgelords (and the alt-right) tell white kids & adults --- that the "left" is too sensitive. That we have no sense of humor.

Every time they hear a "Jews are..." or "make me a sammich, b***h" joke, they become less offended by anti-Semitism/sexism. It becomes normal.

If you think your kid can watch endless hours of Edgelord YouTube and not become desensitized, you're fooling yourself.
White supremacists are actively teaching your kids to be bigots and (someday we will know for sure) Edgelord humor is the initial distribution material.
