🤗More like the processes on how I get into product/tech in the past 12 months
A (👇thread) on some of my work in:
- building products
- learning to code/no-code
- consulting services
- more recently working remotely in product career
read below:
I started to learn Python & Django from books, documentation & YouTube videos.
I was interested in building web app. At that time, I was working on an idea "Portfolio Tracker"
When I was still new at coding, I figured I could start building something using what I already know.
I launched my 1st project on Product Hunt -
producthunt.com/posts/producer…
I launched my 2nd project on @ProductHunt
This time I was able to build a small app using my Python/Django skill.
I never thought this Tweet alone unlock my product career into tech
My mini app was featured on @ProductHunt number 1.
All I did was a Tweet + Product Hunt launch with no pre-launch effort.
It was a fun idea in a morning so it was launched pretty quickly after I deployed on Heroku in the afternoon
My app got featured on @lifehacker
I was humbled by the reviews and feedback despite the app being prototype-ish and un-polished
I later found out my app was mentioned in tech blogs from 7 countries, including:
United States, China, Turkey, Spain, Japan, Taiwan and Malaysia

I was interviewed by BEAM (a platform for founders/investors/marketers):
🚀I shared about product launch
🛠️Rapid prototyping
🗺️Building cross-border reputation
👩Establish personal branding

I was invited to speak on an online webinar for the 1st time by @RakutenRapidAPI
In that webinar, I shared about details on fast MVP prototyping + launch on Product Hunt

I was interviewed & featured on The Ella Project:
👩Alongside with these great women founders/engineers in STEM industry around the world

After 2 years hustling, I closed down consulting business for (non-tech biz) that I didn't enjoy and moved into selling services for product/tech startup
I started working with startup clients from around the world, and did what I enjoyed the most: Product

I started documenting the stuff I build, code, write, read publicly using @NotionHQ
Full portfolio link: notion.so/whizzoe/a80618…

I started my "Build & Launch" newsletter (both on @Medium & @SubstackInc .
The idea is to document how I turn idea into functional prototype in 24 hours.
blog.prototypr.io/in-2-hours-how…
I also started building useful templates in @NotionHQ and document my use cases & tutorial on my newsletter series:

Got featured on @hackernoon Homepage. Shared everything from building & launching, productivity, resources, startups, book recommendation, etc.

I joined full time (remote) as Product/Growth lead at a US-based SaaS company.
Being able to work on the product I've been using for the past 7 months & people I've been working with previously - that feeling is amazing.
📚This year I did 33 books out of 40 target. Re-read most of the books that I bought previously.
Will adjust my book goals to 30 next year to free up time for building, coding & writing.
