Every good & beneficial knowledge is from Allaah SWT, because He is the Creator & Initiator of all creations. No knowledge would have been possible without Him, because He is giver of such knowledge. As Muslims, we believe that we are created ONLY TO WORSHIP ALLAH.
This worship isn't something we were given the freewill to choose how to do, as Allaah Has given us the freewill to choose the right from the wrong, guidance from misguidance & truth from falsehood. The concept of worship however is, DO AS YOU ARE TOLD & do not innovate.
Of all forms of knowledge, the most precious & useful one is the knowledge of Allah & His religion, via His Noble Prophet (SAW) as explained by him, and in line with the interpretation of those who follow the path of the Prophet till the end of time. This makes Islam unique.
The knowledge on Engineering, Medicine, Science & so on are all useful to us as humans, because they help us in designing a life of comfort & living well in this world. However, such knowledge are never to be treated above the Knowledge of Islam & how to serve our creator.
As Believers, wisdom is our property & every foem of beneficial knowledge is something we should rush to acquire. This is in order to perfect our purpose on this earth, as "best of communities raised for mankind", & in line with the prophetic description of that, "the best among
you is he who benefits humankind more." Just the way a trained Petroleum Engineer cannot gatecrash or invade a clinic to conduct a surgery, because he is totally ignorant about that, such he cannot invade the territory of Fiqh & pass Fatwahs on anything about the religion.
When you want to speak about Islam, you need to refer to the source of the Deen, the Qur’an & Sunnah (Hadith) based on the explanations of the pious predecessors. Nothing we face today will fall out of the realm of the Deen. If you know, you know, & if you don't, you don't.
Yet, you see people who are only experts in fictions or stories challenging what has a source from the Quran & Sunnah. If a Non-Muslim does, one can understand. He hasn't believed in the first place. But as a Muslim, what is your excuse? What is your reason?
