AN ABANDONED SUNNAH DURING RECITATION OF THE QURAN & OTHER ADHKAAR IN SALAAH

Imaam an-Nawawee (RH) said:

“… As for other than the Imaam, the Sunnah is to say the takbeer in a low voice regardless of whether the worshipper is following an Imaam or praying alone.
The minimum level of the low voice is that he should be able to hear himself provided he has a good hearing faculty & does not suffer from any hearing problems. This ruling is general and applies during the recitation of the Quran, saying Takbeer, Tasbeeh in Rukoo', Sujood,
during tashahhud, tasleem and du’aa whether in obligatory or voluntary prayer. Nothing will be rewarded in all of these acts unless the worshipper recites them in a low manner that he can hear himself.

One should not recite or do any Adhkaar in the Salaat so loud that it interferes with the next person standing, even in a prayer that is meant to be said aloud.
One should recite just loud enough to hear himself & that is enough within the sunnah. This applies whether in obligatory prayer or voluntary (supererogatory) prayer, except if one is the Imaam, in which he has to make recitations of the Quran very loud for everyone to hear.
BS: There's no difference between a man & woman with regards to how one should recite the Qur’an or Adhkaar in Salaat. Sometimes, our sisters/mothers make mistake of reciting almost completely silent in every Salaat, whether one they're expected to read aloud or not.
This is against the Sunnah. Generally, it is a mistake to recite in the heart without moving your lips in Salaat. Reading in the heart isn't the same as reading silently. The latter means you should read in a very low voice not in the heart.
The rule, according to the scholars is, the rulings for men & women are the same in all forms of worship except where the Shariah states otherwise.
