Trumps actions of killing Soleimani will have repercussions around the world for America. We are heading into a disaster w a gutted State Dept and a lunatic at the helm looking to change the topic of his crimes. Assassinating an Iranian leader will leave Iran no choice but to act
There will be reprisals not only in the Middle East but around the world. Soleimani is a terrorist and a murderer who was responsible for the murder of innocent Syrians after his proposal to Putin to come into Syria. But are we prepared? Are our embassies prepared? Absolutely not

If the Iran crisis showed us one thing it is which Republicans are closely aligned with the Kremlin and are truly angry about Iran like the Kremlin is and which ones are strictly protecting Trump for their own reasons
As far as Trump I honestly have doubts whether he knew who Soleimani was and was presented a plan pegging him as only a terrorist and not an influential figure in Irans govt.
Lol smh.. 2017 both Lee and Rand voted no on sanctions. fast forward both are screaming about Iran and are against Trump on this

Let’s have some straight talk on #Soleimani, shall we?
1. Suleimani took command of the Quds Force over 20 years ago and his job is to reshape the Middle East in Iran’s favor: thru military force, by assassinating rivals and arming allies.
2. His twenty year focus is directing
a network of militant groups that has killed hundreds of U.S in #Iraq and others.
3. I know of only ONE American who has ever met him, John Maguire, describing him as soft-spoken yet the most powerful man in the MidEast. Thoughtful, strategic, smart, charismatic - 100% dedicated
4. He personally runs #Iran’s war in #Syria and brought in thousands of #Quds Force when #Assad’s army began to fail.
5. Suleimani and #Nasrallah of #Hezbollah #Lebanon are old friends and cooperate globally where Hezbollah has performed terrorist acts at Iran’s behest.

Analysis - legitimate liberal concerns about feared Iranian military escalation after Trump’s bold gambit, and my considerations in reaction:
1) Concern: striking #Soleimani was in violation of international law
Consideration: Trump designated IRG as a terror group. If you reluctantly accept Obama’s strike against Bin Laden, and recently Trump’s of Baghdadi, it isn’t *technically* much different,though it is in reality
2) Concern: in reality the IRG is also Iranian military (Iranian Revolutionary Guard) & so (even though its backing of militia in Lebanon, Syria & Iraq is irrefutable) it is also *more* than a terror group. It is the national army of a state. So they may still respond with war

Many are arguing #Soleimani death may trigger a regional US-Iran proxy war, one could also argue that #Soleimani led a Iran-US proxy war in Iraq for the last decade.
Divisiveness in America, lack of will political leaders unify popular support defense of US interests, leads us feel uncertain about killing leader designated terrorist group, because we don’t know what the plan is, we don’t trust info we get, we get 🇺🇸 tweet as an explanation
