DOJ says ex-Trump national security adviser Mike Flynn's repeated arguments that he was somehow entrapped by the FBI should count against him at sentencing. And it wants the judge to ask him (again) whether he committed the crime to which he pleaded guilty.
DOJ says the recent arguments by Flynn's lawyer, @SidneyPowell1, seemingly asserting his innocence should count against him when he is sentenced later this month.
@SidneyPowell1 DOJ says agents interviewed Flynn because "any effort to undermine the recently imposed sanctions, which were enacted to punish the Russian government for interfering in the 2016 election, could have been evidence of links or coordination between the Trump Campaign and Russia."
@SidneyPowell1 DOJ: "Far from accepting the consequences of his unlawful actions, he has sought to blame almost every other person and entity involved in his case, including his former counsel.."
@SidneyPowell1 DOJ's sentencing memo just drips with the idea that Flynn was not well served by @SidneyPowell1.
@SidneyPowell1 It seems pretty clear that DOJ thinks Mike Flynn should be sentenced to prison.
