1/ A few weeks ago I did a dive on White Squall & backchannels - my theory was that Q wanted to draw our attention to the Cuban Missile Crisis - particularly the bluster versus backchannels:
2/ I had a couple theories but believed that Q wanted us to pay attention to OPTICS vs backchannels:
3/ I think we now can be pretty sure Q was referring to Iran - several have mentioned backchannels but the excellent @Sun_Q_Tzu summed it up best (see the Quote Tweet he’s sharing).
4/ In case it’s deleted or suppressed, Iran had to save face (OPTICS) & shoot at us, but allegedly gave us advanced heads up where they’d be firing their missiles. 
5/ So is this like a scripted Cuban Missile Crisis?
Things work on multiple levels, so perhaps the Dems/peach mint stand-off still works, but the whole Iran situation is pretty spot on:
- WWIII nuclear fearmongering
- East vs West
- Freedom vs Dictatorship
- Optics/backchannel
