1. Today I unfollowed a female person whom I have enjoyed following for years on Twitter. I will refer to her as EM. I have not always agreed with everything EM says. Since I love the men in my life I would often marvel at her extreme contempt for ALL men as a category.

2. At the same time, I felt that EM offered a unique voice on feminism – a prolific author and journalist whose lived experience spans Western and Middle Eastern worlds. There were many truths she would speak on the plight of women that had merit and that I needed to consider.
3. How deeply disappointing to witness EM now openly at war with a huge sector of the female population. I see her calling women the worst slurs available with a ferocity rarely expressed towards men.
4. Why? Only because these other women are legitimately concerned about their safety & privacy when it comes to male bodies in women’s spaces – the very things EM has been tweeting about for all this time.
5. I now see that EM is 100% invested in “cancel culture” and seeks to deny these women ANY platform to discuss real and perceived threats to their security. She literally takes the stance that a certain sector of the female population has no right to express themselves.
6. How is this even possible? How can someone call themselves “feminist”, yet openly seek to stifle a female voice? Especially when the topic involves interactions between males and females?
7. Knowing that EM is a fan of pro sports, she MUST KNOW there is a reason there are no females in the professional games that she so enjoys on TV. Surely, she knows that female athletes cannot be expected to compete with male athletes no matter what language the male uses?
8. In all sincerity, I cannot imagine how EM has not sat herself down to think it through. Since I trust her ability to think I have to accept that she has done so and come to the conclusion that her internal ‘feminist utopia’ does not include all women.
9. Truth has been revealed to me like a woman finally removing her niqab. EM’s foundational ideology never centered women! Her feminism was about personal revenge. A desire to be sovereign judge and jury of all in her path. Pure narcissism.
10. EM's credibility has vanished. Trust is lost. Good bye & good riddance, EM. [I wish you no harm, therefore keeping your name to myself.]
