So if you’re playing along at home, a school expelling a girl for “lifestyle violations” is NOT cancel culture, but suggesting they are bigots for doing so IS cancel culture.

Expelling a kid because you want to create a zone pure of any gayness is NOT creating ‘safe spaces’ for ‘sensitive snowflakes.’

Expecting a school to create a safe welcoming environment for all kids IS creating ‘safe spaces’ for ‘sensitive snowflakes.’
Remember, a kid truthfully living who she is despite public pressure is a weak-minded SJW trying to *force* people into her wokescold lifestyle.

A principal who shuns gay children because that one verse in Romans? Just a open-minded teller of truths SOME people can’t handle.
I guess what I’m saying is that for gay people (and many others) the idea that “cancel culture” is a new thing—or that its worst expression might be social opprobrium—would probably be surprising news.
Very frequently when people complain that a demand for equality or justice is “divisive,” what they mean is it’s forcing them into awareness of division that was already there, and they’re complaining because they are benefiting from it and resent being expected to stop.
Very frequently, when people complain “you have to be so careful what you say around people these days,” what they mean is “other people used to have to be so much more careful about what they said around me.”
If the civil rights movement has taught us anything, it’s the people getting expelled for who they are that are the bigots and the people doing the expelling that are the victims.
It seems laughable today but this is precisely what very serious people of the time said was the problem with abolitionists.

Very little is new under the sun.
