Query to the writers who’ve got babies who are not/were not in daycare. How. Did. You. Write! When? Did you write? And hey, what did you write?
Right now, Grim and I are still recovering from that evil virus. We both still have small coughs, and his wakes him up. Also, though historically he has slept thru the night, at present he says that rare books wake up at 4 AM for a bottle.
Thank you for these replies. You guys are making me feel better. I’m writing - hell, I did a full new draft of my Beowulf translation when Grim was 3 months old - but man, it’s hard to stay focused when someone is chirping and/falcon screeching in my close vicinity.
Also, I’m crazy about my baby, and so, whenever he wants to play, we play. But sometimes he looks at me with a gleeful grin & makes it known that he will only play if I watch him. In theory, one could write while a baby is in a saucer jingling things. In actuality...not so much.
See, baby in saucer jingling things and grinning. Also, feel free to die along with me, due to how cute this is. He’s realllllly cute.
Also, here’s another source of chaos in this lair. Grim would like to present to you his Front Fangs. He likes to show them off in many ways. One of them is by chomping any finger that comes near.
A waitress the other day said that Grimoire looks exactly like Jack-Jack from the Incredibles. That’s accurate. He’s also packed with superpowers, so.
