The following people worked with Ken Starr to try to take down Bill Clinton in the late 90s: Brett Kavanaugh, George Conway, Alex Azar, Tucker C., Laura Ingraham, Drudge, Ann Coulter, Mark Paoletta (at OMB, previously w/ Pence), & Barbara Comstock (R-VA, defeated in 2018).
American politics in 2019 is starting to feel like a 20 year high school reunion where only the absolute worst people in your class showed up. nbcnews.com/think/opinion/…
Also worth remembering that the Vince Foster conspiracy theory hoax was fueled in part by this BS book by Chris Ruddy, the current head of the Trumpy "media" outlet Newsmax and a member at several of Trump's clubs. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stran…
Ruddy wrote the book while working at a right wing newspaper owned by tin foil hat wearing billionaire heir, Richard Mellon Scaife. Scaife then gave Ruddy some seed money to help start Newsmax.
Remember when Hillary Clinton complained about "the vast right wing conspiracy" that was out to get her? Folks, she wasn't exaggerating. Even worse, many eager participants in that conspiracy are now running the country and complaining about a supposed anti-Trump conspiracy.
Oh, hey look, that hack journalist who wrote a BS book about Vince Foster is now being interviewed by NPR about his frequent, candid phone conversations with the President! npr.org/2019/09/26/764…
It's almost as if the modern right wing mediasphere is a creation of a bunch of cynical billionaires who want to keep the public's attention fixated on stupid conspiracy theories in order to prevent the emergence of a governing political coalition that might threaten their power.
I dunno...it seems like Richard Mellon Scaife and the Koch Brothers and Sheldon Adelson and the Mercer Family and David Pecker have never actually had much interest in producing truthful journalism. Just spitballing here.
Oops, forgot to include the godfather of them all, the Murdoch family, in that list.
Addendum. I'd forgotten that Starr was about to take a job at conservative law school Pepperdine funded in part by Richard Mellon Scaife but then postponed.
