Trump needs lawyers willing to ignore—or even torpedo—the law. Not many lawyers are willing to do that.
That's why his personal lawyer was his "fixer."

@gtconway3d Bauer observed that Trump doesn’t want legal advice from his lawyers. Trump’s view is that the job of his lawyers is to find a way around the law.
