I have been trying to figure out my discomfort with the Times double endorsement, and I keep going back to the old sexist trope "It takes two women to do the job one man can do." It just doesn't sit right with me somehow. How is everyone else feeling?
I love all these comments because the feeling I have expressed here isn’t necessarily a hard landing for me, but an initial thought that I wanted to express and get your thoughts. Lots of good takes here. Thank you!
I must admit, part of why it hit me that way was because I have had the experience in comedy over and over where a club owner would make 2 women split a headliner spot to make sure it was a “strong” show.
