I do not like the democratic debates. They are terrible, and I don’t understand why the Democratic Party continues to participate in them. 1
The debates are not official, and they are not impartial, and they are not sanctioned by anybody. They are a TV show made for money. Screw that. 2
The hosts are terrible. They lead the witness, try to start fights, frame the questions so as to either make a candidate look bad or to get them bickering. Most damningly, the questions are simpleminded and ignore the big issues that we must address. 3

I’m not saying that UX is one big happy discipline.

I’m saying that the terminology/nomenclature mess gives cover to unskilled and/or unscrupulous practitioners. 1
And while the notion of trickle-down-economics is utterly bogus, the notion of trickle-down-ethics is all too real.

So unscrupulous managers hire those unskilled practitioners so they can check the UX box. 2
And educators whose goal is to please hiring managers find it lucrative to pander to their desire for bogus practitioners.

Educators should hold the highest standards, not the lowest. 3

In the last 65 days, Bombas has sent me 24 emails. 23/24 were 100% product or sales based.

That's roughly one PRODUCT #email every 2.5 days for the last 2 months.

I opened 3/24 (mass opened all today for image) and clicked on 1/23.

This is dangerous.

If we are going to get out of the messes we are in, I believe we have to start with a more accurate image of ourselves and the world of which we are a part. A thread about #system boundaries, abortion bans, climate change, gun safety, and more.
We each are flows, more like flames or whirlpools than rocks or billiard balls, in constant exchange with the 'environment. Your 'boundaries' are so much more fluid than everyday perception (in this western industrial growth society at least) suggests.
I mean this literally - not metaphorically. What was 'not you' moments before you drank a glass of water now is 'you.'
