LETTING GO and the pain of emptiness.
#Thread

Some birds are NOT meant to be caged. Their feathers are too bright, their songs too sweet but their space is in the wild. So we reluctantly let them go because even though we wish they stayed, they just couldn't and wouldn't.
You've tried to be nice. You've noticed things but you tried to endure and be tolerant. One day you opened the cage to feed them as before and somehow they managed to fly out past you and soared away in freedom right before your eyes like they were happy to leave.
A part of you that knows how wrong it was to imprison them in the first place rejoices, but still, a part of you is still sad because that space where they once occupied will remain drab and empty forever for their departure.
That, my friends, is LIFE. This bird is a person whom you have come to accept as a friend. Someone whose company you've grown fond of, to love and cherish so much. But a time comes when they would need to move on. And if that time comes on you...just let them go. You'll be fine.
For this alone...I'm glad☺️
