Exactly. The thing that prevents us from already having such a system is white resistance to benefits for POC. That’s why the US safety net is so weak. Tons of research on this. Sadly, simplistic class based activists don’t get how real the psychological wage of whiteness is
And they especially do t understand how simply making the “rational class based interest” argument for such things (or their candidates) doesn’t work, again, Bc of whiteness. And they don’t want to learn or adapt new strategies that take that into account...
